How to Get Here
Ferry connections, flights and getting around once you're on Amorgos.
By Ferry
Amorgos is served by ferries from Piraeus, the other Cycladic islands and Rhodes, arriving at one of two ports — Katapola in the south or Aegiali in the north. Ferry companies include Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, Seajets and the local Small Cyclades Lines (Skopelitis); routes and schedules can be searched on gtp.gr. Book ahead in the high season — it gets very busy.
By Air
Amorgos has no airport of its own. The nearest are on Naxos, Santorini and Mykonos — or fly into Athens and continue by ferry from Piraeus. From the Santorini or Mykonos airport it's a short 10–15 minute taxi to the port, about 10 minutes from Naxos; the ferry crossing onward to Amorgos then takes roughly 1h45 to 5h30 depending on the route and season.
Getting Around
A local bus service (amorgosbuscompany.com) connects the main villages and both ports. Taxis and the boat agencies below can also arrange transport and ferry tickets.
